Jean Camille Nasson (1961- 2008)

He started sculpting wood at 8 years old, when a Catholic priest showed him how to make religious figures. His wood sculptures tend to evoke the duality of good and evil. His friendship with the Italian artist Angelo Vanenda helped him to acquire knowledge in anatomy. He collaborated with many Haitian artists like Ti Pelin, Brunel Rocklor and Mario Benjamin. His work can be found in museums around the world including the Vatican collection in Italy, Waterloo Center for Arts in Waterloo and Davenport Museum, Iowa.He participated to several exhibits in United States, Trinidad and Tobago.
